David Bell joins ShipGlide with a wealth of expertise from his extensive career in the cruise and marine sectors, specializing in mechanical, structural, electrical, and electronic engineering. Most recently, David served as the Head of Engineering at ShipGlide, where he oversaw a multidisciplinary design team working on CFD, software, piping, and system design. His leadership contributed to the company’s strategic advancements in air lubrication technology, which significantly reduce fuel consumption and improve vessel efficiency by lowering frictional drag beneath the hull.
In his new role, David Bell will continue to drive ShipGlide’s innovation in iALS, expanding its capabilities and strengthening its position as a global leader in sustainable maritime solutions. As the maritime industry faces increasing pressure to reduce its carbon footprint, ShipGlide’s advanced technologies will be critical in shaping the future of clean shipping.
